The Carol Evening is on Monday 9th December. It will start at 7.30pm and will be held in Satterthwaite Church. There will be warmth and laughter, a choir, carols, Christmas readings, a raffle and, in the interval, wine and mince pies (all homemade of course, with the exception of the wine).
There will also be a begging bowl at the end; our chosen charity for this year is the Foodbank in Barrow-in-Furness. Maggie Biddlestone helps there and gave us a fascinating talk on the pressing local need for its services earlier this year.
Please come along ready to sing lustily and feel free to bring your partners and friends… We plan to start Christmas off in good company!
