Rusland WI would like to thank everyone who attended our last open meeting, when the Royal Navy came to visit; we were very lucky to have folks from our local community and other WIs joining us. It was a fantastic meeting! What cake… and I’m sure we’d all agree that the presentation team gave us a fascinating and insightful talk too!
Now we’ve had time to tot up the numbers, we know that we made £187.50 from our raffle in aid of Help For Heroes. The Help For Heroes charity supports current service personnel and veterans, who are injured, or become ill, due to their service. If you missed our meeting, you can still choose to donate here.
Our next meeting will be a Garden Meeting at Anne Robinson’s house on Tuesday 16th July, for our members and their partners. It’s a Jacob’s Join supper, so bring any dish you fancy cooking – from curry to cheese, to cake. Anne’s supplying the plates and cutlery, she also has a lot of seating (but any extra folding chairs would still be welcome).
