Vanda Lampton from ‘Mad Hatters’, High Newton shares how to make a ‘Percher Hat’.
Vanda had brought along a truly stunning selection of her hats. She showed us how she made a ‘percher (small) hat’ using wooden forms and fabric, going through the whole process from start to finish, adding wonderful feather flowers/decorations.
Plenty of questions were asked along the way, and at the end, we were all invited to try any of the hats on, which we duly did! She also had a handy chart which showed what type of hat would suit what shape of face.
